Sesame Almond Cookies

Preheat oven to 325°

1/3 c unsalted butter

1 1/3 c brown sugar

1 large egg

2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 c lightly toasted sesame seeds

1 c flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

 

Sift sesame seeds, flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Mix in the sifted ingredients. Place dough in refridgerator for three hours or until completely chilled.

Drop teaspoon sized balls about 2 inches apart onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
